Misr Travel tour manager will pick you up from your hotel to enjoy an excursion to Coptic and Islamic Cairo with the Citadel, Proceed with your Egyptologist for a fantastic tour of the massive medieval Saladin citadel, once a stronghold against the Crusader. This ancient fortress takes your breath away with its brilliant domed ceilings, suspended lights, and commanding views of Cairo. The Citadel houses the Great mosque, also known as the Mosque of Muhamed Ali. Learn of its awesome history as you admire the wondrous minarets reaching into the sky and magnificent domes sparkling in the sunlight. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. Continue driving to the area of Islamic Cairo, where you will be able to explore Khan El Khalili bazaar, one of the city’s major souks (open-air marketplaces). Browse the tightly packed stalls displaying everything from spices and leather goods to jewelry and vegetables, all on a street that has hardly changed for centuries. Bargaining is expected, so prepare to negotiate and test your negotiating skills. Then we move on to visit Old Cairo where you will enjoy, the Hanging Church, Ben Ezra synagogue, Church of St. Barbara, Church of Abu serge, before returning you back to your hotel.
